Benefits of Setting Boundaries

Right before we came into 2022 I had really been diving deep within myself about my life. And I came to the realization that I had very poor boundaries and I was ready to change that. So this year has been all about setting boundaries. Boundaries don't just change over night though. It really is a practice. And sometimes you have to continue to re-enforce those boundaries until it becomes more natural and comfortable to you. Because you expect it.


I really liked this photo because your boundaries are important. And I've heard a saying going around that says something like, the people who don't respect your boundaries are the one's who have been crossing them. Something like that. I just want you to know, if you don't have clear boundaries, that you are deserving of them. Every single one of us.


Here are some benefits of setting boundaries:


Improves Emotional Health Prevents Burnout (saying "no" isn't a bad thing) Improved Relationships Clear Expectations for Yourself and Others Less Stress Improved Self-Care (allowing yourself to fill your own cup) Self-Respect Respect from Others


It's interesting that when we set boundaries, we actually earn MORE respect.
